Tunisia: Beer sales decline after the revolution
Tunisia’s brewer SFBT said its beer sales declined by 4.1% in January – February 2011 as compared to the same period last year, African Manager communicated on March, 10.
According to the company, it’s sales of cask beer (shipped mainly to hotels) and bottled beer declined as a result of the difficulties experienced at the moment by the nation’s tourism industry. The company said, after the revolution many retail outlets were destroyed or closed.
