Canada & US: Beer by Canada’s Russell Breweries to be available to US consumers
Brewery news

Russell Breweries, a producer of premium craft beer in Western Canada, has entered into partnership with King Beverage, a beer distributor in the Pacific North West US, for distributing its beer in the Spokane area in the US, Drinks Business Review communicated on March, 24.

King Beverage, Inc. has been an Anheuser-Busch wholesaler for 30 years with approximately 225 employees in five distribution points in Washington State and Idaho.

Russell Breweries CEO Brian Harris said this will be a phased introduction of the company's portfolio into the US market beginning with the launch of its top performing brands in Spokane and expanding from there.

"Regularly visitors from the US, who have tried its beer, enquire when Russell beer will be available in their market. Russell Breweries is now has the production capacity to properly service entry into the US and we are ready to maximize this opportunity," Harris added

King Beverage vice president/equity agreement manager Peter Rusnak said the company is excited to introduce Russell Beer into the US through the Spokane distribution point.

"The beer distributor has a large consumer pool that enjoys high-quality, specialty beers and we believe that they are going to respond well to the Russell portfolio," Rusnak added.

Russell Breweries produces premium beers in Western Canada in breweries located in British Columbia and Manitoba.
