Not all chemicals are bad. Without chemicals such as hydrogen and oxygen, for example, there would be no way to make water, a vital ingredient in beer.

UK: German Krombacher launches dark beer on draught for UK pubs
Brewery news

Following a successful trial in UK bars, German brewer Krombacher has launched a dark beer on draught for UK pubs, Morning Advertiser reported on April, 13.

“With the increasing interest in dark beers we think that this is a natural progression for the Krombacher range to introduce an authentic, dark, German beer that is packed full of flavour at a very drinkable 4.2% ABV,” said Julian Penny, spokesman for Krombacher.

The full-bodied beer, named Krombacher Dark, uses a selection of high roasted malts combined with Felsquellwasser natural spring water and is brewed according to the German Purity Law of 1516.

The drink is being touted as a very good accompaniment to meat dishes and summer barbecues and is said to have sparked “strong consumer interest and consistently good sales figures,” according to Penny.
