Russia: Baltika starts to export beer to Mali and Sierra Leone
Russia’s No. 1 beer maker Baltika Breweries has started to export its products to the republics of Mali and Sierra Leone.
The first batch shipped to the two African countries totalled 60 thousand litres, the company said on August, 19.
Baltika’s No. 3 Classic, No. 4 Original, No.6 Porter, No. 7 Export, and No. 9 Strong beers will be positioned in the premium segments of the markets at an average price of USD1.30 per 0.5 l bottle, it is reported.
Baltika is the only Russian brewery to export its products to Africa. Baltika’s beers are already available in Congo, Kenya, Sudan, Ethiopia, Uganda, Ghana, Tanzania, Côte d'Ivoire, Guinea, Guinea-Bissau, Benin, Togo, Burkina-Faso, and Cameroon. The company’s total sales in Africa reached 2 mln litres in the first half of this year.
