Japan & Brazil: Kirin to include Schincariol in group earnings next FY

Kirin Holdings Corp. will include Brazilian brewery Schincariol into its group earnings from the fiscal year ending December 2012, Dow Jones reported on October, 27.

In August, Kirin announced the purchase of a 50.45% stake in Schincariol for $2.56 billion. But minority shareholders of the Brazilian company filed a suit in a local court to block sale of a controlling stake.

A Brazilian court earlier this month awarded control of Schincariol to Kirin, lifting the injunction brought by the minority shareholders.
