Japan & China: Asahi and Tsingtao sign new Asahi beer supply contract

Tsingtao Brewery's controlling shareholder, Shenzhen Tsingtao Beer Asahi, signed contracts with Asahi Group Holdings and Asahi (China) Investment to supply ‘Asahi’ beer to Asahi Group Holdings and its subsidiaries, 163.com reported on February, 13, citing a company filing.

The validity term of the contract covers one year from the beginning of 2012.

According to the contract, Asahi Group Holdings and its subsidiaries will respectively pay up to 38.71 million yuan and 14.11 million yuan to Shenzhen Tsingtao Beer Asahi for the purchase.

Tsingtao Brewery estimates the average selling price of ‘Asahi’ beer under the new contract will be higher than its average price.
