Russian beer company, Tinkoff, increased four times its turnover in 2003 versus 2002 up to US$ 33 million. In 2003 Tinkoff sold 90,782 hectoliters of bottled beer and 4,500 hectolitres from its microbreweries. The company is planning to increase its market share on the Russian beer market to 3% from 0.5% by the end 2004. The company said it will open a new brewery and two restaurants with their own microbreweries to achieve its aims. Tinkoff will start production in autumn at the brewery with a capacity of 2 million hectolitres.
