Brazil: HEINEKEN to start brewing its leading brand at Araraquara plant later this year

Dutch brewing giant HEINEKEN is set to start brewing its leading Heineken brand at the plant in Araraquara, São Paulo, A Cidade reported on March, 26.

The company did not disclose any information on the volume of investments but a spokesperson said the initiative aims at increasing the offer to meet the rising demand in the region.

According to the Araraquara brewery’s headmaster, Roberto Rudnytskyj, the first test batch of Heineken will be produced during the second week of April and, after a series of tests and a final approval by the headquarters in the Netherlands, the product will be made available to the local consumer. “The second phase should happen in mid-August,” Rudnytskyj said.
