The Netherlands & Brazil: Sources maintain Heineken still interested in acquiring Grupo Petropolis

Heineken NV, the world’s third-largest brewer, may seek to acquire Grupo Petropolis SA in Brazil, O Estado de S. Paulo reported on April, 30, citing unidentified people close to the company.

Paulo Macedo, Heineken’s vice-president of corporate relations, denied that the company is in talks with Petropolis, while Petropolis denied the possibility of selling the company, according to O Estado.
