Poland: Polish brewing company, Zywiec, intends to merge with its subsidiary Warka. The company, which will complete the merger with another of its sector subsidiary Zaklady Piwowarskie before making the move on Warka, announced its plan on February 4. All Warka assets will be transferred to Zywiec, and shareholders in the subsidiary will receive Zywiec shares in return. Zywiec will not use a capital increase for the merger, as it is a majority shareholder in Warka. The brewer now owns 99.9% of Warka’s shares.
