Uzbekistan: Carlsberg’s subsidiary temporarily stops operations - report

Carlsberg Uzbekistan (UzCarlsberg), Carlsberg Group's wholly-owned subsidiary, has temporarily suspended its operations in Uzbekistan, a source in government circles was quoted as saying by Trend.az on June, 13.

The company’s official website does not comment on the report.

Carlsberg’s investments in the Uzbekistan subsidiary exceed US$100 mln. The plant’s capacity is 1.45 mln hl per year.

Last week, the nation’s government declared beer an alcoholic beverage.
