USA: Newcastle Werewolf beer now available in the US

Heineken has made Newcastle Brown Ale’s limited edition beer - Newcastle Werewolf - available throughout the US, The Drinks Business Review reported on August, 6.

Newcastle Werewolf is available throughout the nation from August 2012 through October 2012 in 6-packs and 12-packs. It will also be available on draught at pubs in select markets.

Newcastle Brown Ale brand director Charles van Es said unlike the mythical wolf-like creature said to roam the bleak moorland surrounding Newcastle, England, this Werewolf is real.

"Everyone loves a good urban legend, so we're hoping to take advantage of the werewolf story to sell more beer this fall," van Es said.
