USA, ME: Shipyard Brewing Co. releases first beer from its limited edition of Bourbon barrel-aged ales

Portland, Maine-based Shipyard Brewing Co. has released the first selection in a new line of limited edition Bourbon barrel-aged ales, Shanken News Daily reported on September, 20.

Shipyard has made 350 cases of Bourbon Barrel-Aged Double ESB available in four states - Maine, New Hampshire, Florida and California.

They will also release 350 cases of Bourbon Barrel-Aged Smashed Pumpkin to select markets in October and a limited number of cases of another expression, Bourbon Barrel-Aged Prelude, in December.

The beers have all been brewed and cellar-aged for more than 100 days in Bourbon barrels. They will be priced at $14.99 a 750-ml.

Shipyard produces a variety of year-round and specialty brews - including its popular Shipyard Export Ale and fall seasonal Pumpkinhead Ale - and has distribution in 35 states.
