Russia: Sun InBev to build $3.2 mln water treatment facility

Anheuser-Busch InBev NV plans to invest about 100 million rubles ($3.2 million) to construct a wastewater treatment facility at its Ivanovo brewery in the Moscow region, Novosti said on November, 2, citing a spokesperson for InBev’s Russian unit, Sun InBev.

The project on completion will help reduce the plant’s negative impact on the environment, it said.

Sun InBev was ranked Russia’s second-largest brewer in 2011, with total volume sold last year estimated at 15.4 mln hl and a market share of 16.8%.
