Ukraine & Chile: Obolon starts shipping beer to Chile

Obolon, one of Ukraine’s top brewing companies, has shipped the first 400 hl batch of its Obolon and Magnat beers to Chile, the company announced on December, 1.

Obolon is the first Ukrainian beer to be exported to Chile, the company said in a press release, adding that the interest in imported beer in Chile has been rising recently.

Obolon brewery is currently shipping its products to 40 nations worldwide. In 2012, the geography of the company’s export expanded to Slovakia, Chile, Singapore, Japan, Vietnam, Hong Kong, Turkey, and United Arab Emirates.

In 2011, Obolon was ranked first among Ukrainian brewers in terms of export, accounting for 80% of the total volume of Ukrainian beer shipped abroad.
