USA, MA: Harpoon Brewery releases El Triunfo

Boston’s Harpoon Brewery has introduced the latest release in its limited batch 100 Barrel Series, El Triunfo, Shanken News Daily reported on December, 5.

The beer is an English-style coffee porter, using locally roasted coffee by Equal Exchange and harvested in Mexico’s El Triunfo biosphere. It’s available in 22-ounce bottles with limited draft availability.

The 100 Barrel Series was introduced in 2003, allowing a different brewer to choose a style of beer, formulate the recipe and brew the beer every few months.

Created by brewer Jesse Brenneman, El Triunfo is the 44th installment to the series.

Harpoon co-founder Rich Doyle recently said that it’s expanding production capacity and now projects double-digit growth for 2012 to nearly 200,000 barrels.
