USA, VA: Port City Brewing Company releases Maniacal IPA and announces expansion

Alexandria, Virginia’s Port City Brewing Company is slated to release its first double IPA this April, Shanken News Daily reported on February, 4.

Named Maniacal IPA, the beer will be available on draft only at select restaurants and bars throughout the Washington, D.C., Virginia and Maryland markets, as well as at the Port City tasting room.

Port City announced as well that its 11,000-square-foot brewery will undergo a second expansion, following last year’s capacity increase to over 6,000 barrels. This spring, the craft brewer will add two 120-barrel fermentation tanks and a 120-barrel bright tank, bringing its annual production to 12,000 barrels.
