USA, KY: West Sixth Brewing expands distribution

West Sixth Brewing, a craft brewery that opened in Lexington last April, is expanding its distribution into Cincinnati and Northern Kentucky, Cincinnati.com reported on February, 8.

Distributed locally by Stagnaro Distributing, the West Sixth IPA (the brewery’s flagship beer) will be sold in cans, as well as 1/2-barrel and 1/6-barrel kegs.

“The fact that it is in a can rather than a bottle keeps it even fresher longer, and fresher beer tastes better,” said co-founder Ben Self.

“We use certain hops in our IPA that gives it a unique flavor — different from other IPAs you can usually find,” he said.

West Sixth is currently available at The Party Source; Hyde Park Wine and Spirits; Liquor City in Florence; United Liquor; and Valley Wine and Spirits. It’s already being served at The Drinkery, and Self said he expects it to be available soon at several other bars and retailers.
