Argentina: AB InBev launches premium black Stella Artois Noir beer
Brewery news

To further capitalize on its success in Latin America, the world’s largest brewer AB InBev has launched a new Stella Artois Noir in a segment of black premium beers in Argentina, PopSop reported on February, 20.

The new variant has a distinctive aroma and flavor of coffee melted with the traditional Saaz hops, and comes in a sleek black glass bottle with a recognizable red-and-white Stella Artois logo on the label. Package design was created by the award-winning local design expert Pierini Partners.

AB InBev has been experimenting with the black beer segment for a while, with the latest introduction of a black higher-alcohol premium variant for its another beer brand Beck’s — Beck’s Sapphire in the USA. While a newly launched Stella Artois Noir is an Argentine-only beer at the time, its name (obviously attributing to the black color) may sound similar to Stella Artois Black, launched back in 2010 in the UK. In fact, the latter is a blonde lager and has nothing in common with the Latin American variant.

Stella Artois Noir is the latest addition to the brand family represented internationally by classic Belgian lager (from 4.0% to 5.2% ABV), Stella Artois Black and Stella Artois Cidre, apple and pear variants.
