USA, CA: Beachwood Brewing releases two Scottish-style ales

Straight off the heels of Beachwood Brewing’s first two bottled beers — Tovarish Imperial Stout and Beachwood Six Smoked Saison — arise two new Scottish-style Beachwood ales from Brewmaster Julian Shrago: Barrel Aged Full Malted Jacket Scottish-Style Ale & Full Malted Jacket Scottish-Style Ale (non-Barrel aged), brewbound.com reported on February, 19.

Batch 1 of Full Malted Jacket spent one year maturing in sturdy American bourbon barrels. “Full Malted Jacket marks our first barrel aged, bottled brew,” explains Shrago. “The fact that we are barrel aging at Beachwood is an exciting achievement; seeing the potential, we’ll definitely be experimenting further with barrel aged beers in the near future.”

Recognizing a unique opportunity to release two versions of the same beer, Beachwood Brewing is releasing classic-style Full Malted Jacket as well. “We are so thrilled to be releasing these two versions of Full Malted Jacket. Our customers will experience the same beer side by side, crafted two different ways,” explains Beachwood BBQ & Brewing co-owner and executive chef Gabriel Gordon.

Bottles of Barrel Aged Full Malted Jacket will be available exclusively at Beachwood BBQ Seal Beach and Beachwood BBQ & Brewing in Long Beach on February, 23.

Bottles of Classic Full Malted Jacket will be available at both Beachwood BBQ locations on February, 23 as well as a wide variety of local retailers in Southern California shortly thereafter.
