Angola: SABMiller’s N’gola brewery to increase production capacity
Fábrica de Cervejas N’gola, the only beer brewery in southern Angola, plans to increase its production capacity from 300,000 to 1.1 million hectolitres per year, said the unit’s director, João Pedro Lopes.
Cited by the Angop news agency on June 30, Lopes said the increase was the result of new investments which enabled the number of filling lines to rise from two to three.
He stressed that regular production on the three filling lines means N’gola can quadruple its sales points, creating more business for the region’s families and providing more direct and indirect jobs.
The N’gola brewery has existed since 1974 and came under control of South Africa’s SABMiller group in 2000.
