Canada, ON: Whiprsnapr Brewing opens in Ottawa

The explosive growth of Ottawa’s craft brewing scene continues with the launch of Whiprsnapr Brewing in the city’s Nepean area, Canadian Beer News reported on October, 27.

Founded by long-time homebrewer Ian McMartin and several partners, Whiprsnapr opened with a line-up of beers that include Root of Evil Pre-Prohibition Lager, Inukshuk Canadian IPA, Black Sunshine Black Lager, F’N’A British IPA and Carol Anne Irish Blonde Ale – the latter named after McMartin’s mother who helped harvest the hops for the beer.
