France: Malting barley prices keep declining

The French malting barley prices keep declining, and the activity on the market is low, La Depeche reported on January 30.

Maltsters are showing very little interest in purchases, especially for the old crop. However, several deals were closed on FOB Creil basis for the new crop.

Relatively strong feed barley prices are creating certain competition for malting barley, industry sources report.
