USA, MA: New brewery to open in Woburn, MA
Brewery news

Daniel Lanigan, owner of the Cambrigde, MA, beer bar Lord Hobo, is opening his own 47,000-square-foot brewery in Woburn, MA, according to Boston Magazine.

However, the upcoming Lord Hobo Brewing Company won’t be your typical brewery. The article mentions that Lanigan intends to produce 10,000 barrels of beer annually – which is huge, considering the fact that newer breweries are only able to produce a quarter of that amount, as noted by Eater Boston.

On top of having a large “40-barrel brewhouse,” Lord Hobo Brewing Co. plans to have retail space and a “4,000 square foot taproom that will be able to accommodate 400 visitors,” reports Boston Magazine. The article also notes that the taproom will have 15 draft lines.

In addition to Lanigan, Vince Tursi (Night Shift Brewing), David Kushner (former cellarman at Harpoon), and Michael Labbe (formerly of Aeronaut Brewing Co.) are all behind the new Woburn craft beer venture.

The team's “Hop-forward brewery” (as Lanigan describes it) will debut soon. And by late 2015, Lord Hobo Brewing Co. plans to “release as many as 10 canned offerings, several of those being India Pale Ales, including its signature product, Boom Sauce," reports the article.

The Lord Hobo Brewing Company will be located at 5 Draper Street in Woburn.
