Belarus: Lidskoye Pivo brewery to invest over €12 million in production development this year

OAO Lidskoye Pivo will invest over €12 million in production development in 2015, BelTA reported on March 13.

“Last year we continued gradual expansion and development of production facilities, logistics, warehouses. In 2015 we are planning to step up efforts to raise the production efficiency and offer new kinds of high-quality beer to our customers. This year our investments will be used to increase the manufacturing capacity and promote non-waste production. The investments will make up €12.2 million,” a representative of the company said.

The majority of investments will be used to finance the construction of the brewery shop. It is expected that the facility will raise the production capacity 1.5 times. There are also plans to launch a polyethylene bottling line and build a warehouse with the total area of 3,700 square meters. In 2014 OAO Lidskoye Pivo injected €12.9 million in production and logistics development.

Apart from the investment plans, the company also made public its last year's results. In 2014, the company sold a record amount of beer and beverages in the country and abroad. The brewery sold almost 170 million litres of drinks. Last year, the sales of beer on the domestic market went up 3.8% to 74.8 million litres vs. 2013. Beer export increased by 20.3% to 16.8 million litres vs. 2013.
