Denmark & Greece: Carlsberg subsidiary and Olympic Brewery merger approved by Greek authorities

On 18 November 2014, the Carlsberg Group announced the merger in Greece between its subsidiary Mythos and Olympic Brewery.

As the necessary approvals have now been obtained, the merger has been completed, the Danish brewing giant said on April 29.

Carlsberg agreed to take over Greece's third-largest brewer, Olympic Brewery, on November 18. The combined group will have a market share of around 29 percent, the Danish brewer said. That puts it behind only Dutch rival Heineken.
