USA, MI, OH & WI: Saugatuck Brewing expands in Ohio and Wisconsin

A West Michigan craft brewery plans to expand its reach in two Great Lakes states, MiBiz reported on May 7.

Saugatuck Brewing Co. said on May 6 that it has signed deals with three Ohio-based distributors and one Wisconsin-based distributor to fully cover both states with its Michigan-made craft beer.

In Ohio, the Saugatuck-based brewery is working with Beerco/City Beverage, Maple City Ice and Premium Beverage. It had been in the Cleveland and Toledo markets since May of last year.

Meanwhile, in Wisconsin, the brewery signed with Beechwood Sales and Service, which will service the whole state.

“As our production capacity continues to grow, we are very pleased to be systematically moving into new markets and bringing our beer to the increasingly savvy craft beer drinker,” President and CEO Ric Gillette said in a statement.
