USA, CO: Rock Cut Brewing Company to open by mid-September

The owners of Rock Cut Brewing Company have announced plans to open their craft beer brewing business by mid-September, Estes Park Trail-Gazette reported on August 26.

The micro brewery business will be located at 390 W. Riverside Dr. in Estes Park.

Matthew Heiser and his partner Tracy Goodemote said on August 20 they hope to open the business somewhere between Aug. 29-30, but no later than Labor Day.

"We want to brew a couple batches first to make sure the beer comes out good before we open," Heiser said.

Heiser and Goodemote, both admitted home brewers, say they have "a passion for good beer" and have been brewing together for the past six to eight years. Heiser said he's also been a brew judge and worked for about nine months with the Estes Park Brewery.

"We're basically home brewers and self-taught," Heiser added.

The partners said they will focus on "classic" styles at the beginning. Heiser said they are currently brewing a German amber and an English porter.
