USA, HI: Honolulu’s Hoku Brewing Co. closes for good
Hoku Brewing Co., which had been open for a little more than a year in the former Aloha Beer Co. space next to Liliha Bakery’s second location in Honolulu, has closed for good, the broker who was marketing the sale of the business confirmed to PBN.
Located at 580 North Nimitz Highway, the 120-seat Hoku Brewing is owned by a local family who also owned the shuttered Hee Hing Restaurant in the Hee Hing Plaza on Kapahulu Avenue.
The brewery and restaurant business was on the market for $850,000, but the property’s owner, the Harry and Jeanette Weinberg Foundation, has taken back the property, Daniel Jarrett, vice president of Honolulu-based Newmark Grubb CBI Inc., who was marketing the sale of the business, told PBN on December 8.
