USA, TX: Two Wheel Brewing Co. slated to begin brewing Buda in May
Two Wheel Brewing Co. owner Marc Woffenden said Dec. 8 that his new brewery and tasting room in Buda is slated to begin brewing in May and will open in June, Community Impact Newspaper reported.
The Buda Chamber of Commerce hosted a ground breaking ceremony Dec. 8 at the site of the future brewery. Officials expressed enthusiasm over the project, which they said will attract business growth as well as tourism in the city.
“What better product to make in Buda than beer?” Buda Chamber Managing Director J.R. Gonzales said. “We’re very excited about this in Buda; it’s been a long time coming.”
The 5,000-square-foot project at 535 S. Loop includes 3,800 square feet for beer production and 1,200 square feet for a taproom where customers can buy the company’s beer by the pint or leave with a six-pack or growler.
Marc will be the head brewer. His wife, Alexis Woffenden, has helped with the civil engineering of the project. She also co-owns the brewery.
“We’re going to make really good beer for you guys,” he said. “We’re looking forward to it.”
Bearing a summer opening in mind, Woffenden said he will likely start brewing a German-style Kolsch, a light and refreshing beer.
