USA, FL: Sanford Brewing Co. begins construction of new brewery, set to open in Q2
Central Florida is ready to pop the top on its newest brewery come spring 2016, Orlando Business Journal reported on January 6.
Sanford Brewing Co. began construction this week on its new 4,500-square-foot craft brewery and taproom at 400 S. Sanford Ave. and is set to open in the second quarter of this year. The facility will include a 15-barrel, or 465-gallon, primary brewing system; a three-barrel, or 93-gallon, pilot brewing system; and a 100-seat taproom with food service.
Owners Robyn Esser, Chris Esser, Bordon Hallowes and Allan Jackson intend to distribute Sanford Brewing Co.’s craft beer locally and across the Sunshine State.
The brewery received two grants from the city of Sanford to support the interior and exterior renovation of the 85-year-old building on the corner of Sanford Avenue and Fourth Street.
The Sanford Brewing Co. joins Central Florida’s growing list of breweries, including Orlando Brewing Co., Cask & Larder in Winter Park, The Hourglass Brewery in Longwood, Crooked Can Brewing Co. in Winter Garden, the Winter Park Brewing Co., Ten 10 Brewing in Orlando and Red Cypress Brewery in Winter Springs.
