Latvia: Beer production down 11.46% in January – November last year

A total of 810.5 thousand hl of beer was produced in Latvia in January-November last year, which is 11.46% less than in the eleven months of 2014, according to the State Revenue Service's data, writes LETA.

731.7 thousand hl of beer was imported in Latvia in January-November last year, a 2.07% decrease from the same period in 2014.

Altogether in the first half of the year, 1.422 mln hl of beer was available for purchase in Latvia - 1.98% less than in the respective period of 2014.

On the other hand, beer exports fell 48.27%, from 199.5 thousand hl of beer in January-November 2014 to 103.2 thousand in the same period last year.
