USA, CA & RI: Coronado Brewing’s award-winning beers to become available in Rhode Island in the spring
Coronado Brewing’s award-winning beers are expanding in the east coast to include Rhode Island, arriving on draft and introducing packaged beer in the spring. Coronado Brewing’s Core Series will be offered including Islander IPA, Orange Avenue Wit, Mermaid’s Red, as well as releases of seasonal Crown Series favorites such as Sock Knocker and 20th Anniversary Ale, Brewbound.com reported on February 19.
Coronado has partnered with McLaughlin & Moran, Inc. of Cranston, R.I. who will be distributing Coronado’s beers throughout the entire state. “We’re honored to partner with Coronado Brewing and bring its West Coast-style beers to Rhode Island,” said Terry Moran, President of McLaughlin & Moran. “With their approachable beers and wide range of portfolio, we feel their coastal vibe will translate well in the market.”
“We are very excited to launch in Rhode Island with McLaughlin & Moran. New England has been great to us and we are excited to bring our beer to the state with our new partners,” said Brandon Richards, vice president of sales and marketing. “Rhode Island is a great market to take our coastal brand.”
In 1996, when craft beer was still a foreign term and San Diego County was home to only a handful of breweries, the Chapman brothers Ron and Rick opened a brewpub in their hometown of Coronado. Today CBC stays true to their San Diego roots, brewing abundantly hoppy West Coast-style ales, which are available today in nineteen US states and ten countries. In addition to the long-established pub in Coronado, the company opened a tasting room inside their newly built San Diego production facility in early 2013, and a tasting room and restaurant in Imperial Beach, California in 2014.
