Canada & Grenada: British Columbia’s Dead Frog Brewery aims at opening offshoot brewery in Grenada
Dead Frog Brewery has announced plans to open an offshoot brewery on the Caribbean island of Grenada, and has turned to a new equity crowdfunding platform to find investors for the project, Canadian Beer News reported.
Dead Frog Caribbean will consist of a brewpub, supply chain and beer retailer in Grenada, which is a popular destination for Canadian tourists. Once established, it will be one of very few craft breweries on the island.
To help fund the project, Dead Frog has set up a campaign page on Small Starter, a website that allows companies to solicit equity investments from individuals in British Columbia, Saskatchewan, Manitoba, New Brunswick and Nova Scotia, five of the six provinces (Quebec being the other) where equity crowdfunding is allowed in Canada.
As Dead Frog is a B.C. brewery, it will be concentrating its fundraising efforts in that province, but persons in the other eligible provinces who are interested in investing are welcome to do so as well.
