USA, CA: Little Tree Brewing now open Fridays to Sundays in Grover Beach
Beer is once again flowing at ManRock Brewing Co.’s former spot off Oak Park Boulevard in Grover Beach, The San Luis Obispo Tribune reported.
Startup Little Tree Brewing is open Friday to Sundays, pouring tasters, pints and growlers of West Coast-style beers brewed with East Coast yeast sourced from an old New Jersey brewery. The fusion reflects the bi-coastal background of the founders, Jason and Kristen Tesarz, with backing from friend Eric Bischoff.
The Tesarzes, who moved from the Bay Area to start the business, were attracted to the spot because it was a former brewery and didn’t need any structural work. The team invested about $100,000 in brewing equipment, with 1-barrel kettles and 3-barrel fermenters capable of brewing up to 25 barrels.
“We figured ManRock did well here, so we thought that was a good sign,” said Jason Tesarz, a former homebrewer who works during the week as an engineer at a San Jose-based cybersecurity startup.
Operating on a year-to-year lease in the space at 191 S. Oak Park Blvd., the Tesarzes are aiming to expand their tasting room’s hours and offer nine beers on tap consisting of five core beers — a blonde ale, an amber ale, a porter and two IPAs — and four rotating brews.
