Denmark: The Danish brewing giant, Carlsberg A/S, announced on 9 August 2004 that Jørn Tolstrup Rohde had been appointed CEO of Carlsberg Denmark A/S. The appointment has been made to strengthen the daily management and to relieve some of the workload from Lars Påhlson who in addition to his responsibilities as Senior Vice President of the Nordic region during a period also has been CEO of both Carlsberg Denmark A/S and Carlsberg Sverige AB. Lars Påhlson continues as CEO of Carlsberg Sverige and Senior Vice President of the Nordic the region.

Jørn Tolstrup Rohde joined Carlsberg on 1 January 2004 as Senior Vice President responsible for developing the Commercial Excellence programme which is to strengthen Carlsberg’s global sales activities. Jørn Tolstrup Rohde shall continue to be responsible for this project, which forms an essential element in the plans for the future development of the Carlsberg Group.

Staffan Bremander who has headed the Communications and Human Resources departments in both Carlsberg Danmark and Carlsberg Sverige will be Human Resources and Communications Director for Carlsberg Sverige.

Thomas Kolber has been appointed Human Resources Director for Carlsberg Denmark as of 1 September 2004. Thomas Kolber is currently International Human Resouces Director in Corporate Human Resources.
