Belgium: Number of breweries grows by 86% in just five years

In just five years, the number of breweries in Belgium increased by more than 86%, DH.be reported on October 24.

There are currently 296 breweries in Belgium and this number keeps growing, industry sources said. Last year saw a 15% increase in the number of breweries.

While domestic beer consumption is showing a stable decline, total beer output in Belgium is increasing thanks to a stable export demand, it is reported.
