USA, FL: Southern Swells Brewing opening Saturday, January 28

Southern Swells Brewing is opening Saturday, January 28 in Jacksonville Beach, but it won’t have its own beer for another couple of months. The brewery is in Beach Plaza at 1312 Beach Blvd., Florida Times-Union reported.

Co-owner Corey Adams said they’ve got all their state and federal licenses, so they’ll start brewing the following week. But when it opens on January 28, all 20 taps will be guest beers.

The total space is about 7,500 square feet, but the brewery is closed off, leaving room for 100 in the tap room. It will be open noon to 1 a.m. on January 28, then open Wednesdays-Saturdays until they have their own beers. After that, he’s hoping to be open seven days a week.

The first beers going into tanks, he said, will be a saison, IPA, double IPA and milk stout.
