Canada, ON: Town Brewery is being established in Whitby later this year

A new brewery that has been in planning stages for over a year has announced that it has acquired a location in Whitby and will be opening later this year, Canadian Beer News reported on May 26.

Town Brewery is being established by general manager Jeff Talmey and brewers Mike Sundell and Tim Ferriman, and will be located in a 5000-square-foot facility at 1632 Charles Street near Whitby Harbour.

Set to include a 3500-square-foot brewhouse and a 1500-square-foot retail store and taproom, the brewery will be focused on producing “American-style ales and mixed-fermentation farmhouse ales and sours.”

Town Brewery is expected to open during the summer of 2017.
