Canada, ON: Goose Island Toronto Brewhouse scheduled to open on July 17
More than a year after it was first rumoured, Goose Island Brewery – a subsidiary of Anheuser-Busch InBev – has confirmed that the first Canadian location of its Goose Island Brewhouse chain will be opening in Toronto next month, Canadian Beer News reported on June 6.
Goose Island Toronto Brewhouse will be opening on July 17th at 58 The Esplanade, where it will be co-located with Bier Markt Esplanade which has been closed for renovations since last autumn.
Head Brewer Bernard Priest and Assistant Brewer Marc Mammoliti will be producing batches of classic Goose Island brands alongside their own creations, all of which will be rotated through the bar’s 12 taps, along with occasional rarities from Goose Island’s original Chicago location. The food menu developed by Bier Markt Executive Chef Kevin Maniaci and Chef de Cuisine Shawn Jackson with change seasonally to use fresh and local ingredients, with dishes designed to pair well with the beers on tap.
In addition to the bar and dining room, the new Goose Island will feature a retail store selling growlers of beer to go and branded merchandise, as well as a front patio and a rear Biergarten.
