USA, MN: Cold Spring Brewing sold to private equity firm

Cold Spring Brewing has been sold to private equity firm, The Growler reported on August 4.

Brynwood Partners, a Connecticut-based company, announced it has acquired Cold Spring Brewing Company from the Lenore family.

Founded in 1874 in Cold Spring, Minnesota, the company has roughly 350 employees and an annual sales of more than $60 million. Terms of the deal were not disclosed in the press release.

“On behalf of Brynwood Partners, I would like to express my sincere gratitude to the Lenore family for working with us on this transaction,” said Ian MacTaggart, President and COO of Brynwood Partners in the press release. “We look forward to supporting Cold Spring’s loyal employees and growing its operations in Cold Spring, MN, where it has resided for 143 years and plays such an important role in the community.”
