The Netherlands: On Monday morning September 20 Dutch brewery, Zoeterwoude, based in western Netherlands, and controlled by local beer giant Heineken stopped its production process because of trade union action in Rotterdam. About150 Zoeterwoude-based Heineken employees departed for the city to take part in the union-organized protests. Employees are protesting against the cost-savings policy of the Dutch Government. Employees in the public transport, municipal and port employees take part in the strike.
