USA, TX: Austin’s Flying Man Brewing now opening for tastings four days per week
Flying Man Brewing co-founder Matt Barker says that after a successful run last weekend, the brewery is now opening for tastings four days per week. Barker and co-founder Adam Caudill purchased the former site of Rogness Brewing in August of 2016, and have been working to update and redesign the space over the past year. An indieagogo campaign held earlier this year raised funds toward taproom completion, Eater Austin reported on October 9.
The debut beer lineup (rolled out as ready) includes a blonde ale, a chipotle stout, a watermelon wheat, a saison, and a porter. In addition to the brewery’s standard 30 barrel brewhouse, a smaller pilot system will produce limited releases for the taproom.
Initial hours are Thursday 3:30pm-9pm, Friday 3:30pm-10pm, Saturday Noon-10pm, and Sunday Noon-7pm. Flying Man currently has six beers on tap, several of which have limited quantities available. There isn’t an onsite kitchen, but guest food trucks are on tap for later this fall. The taproom is described as kid and dog-friendly, and growler fills are available.
