Spain: Heineken planning 220 jobs cut in Spain
Heineken plans to cuts 220 jobs across it base in Spain, as it looks to streamline its sales and production in the country, Plastics in Packaging reported on February 7.
The Dutch business explained that it has started discussions over positions in Seville, Valencia and Madrid as well as a few other of its Spanish offices.
It employs 2,600 people in Spain and puts the cuts down to efficiency and continuous improvement. “This is a common transformation process in companies operating in dynamic and changing environments,” said a company statement.
Heineken recently expanded outside of Europe, with the investment of Ђ100 million ($124m) on the construction of a brewery in Mozambique.
