USA, FL: Hammerstein Brewing Co. in process of finalizing new brewery
Two brothers have fused their surname with an iconic drinking vessel to dub one of the latest additions to Tampa Bay’s brewing community, cltampa.com reported on April 9.
The beer stein and founders Travis and Rob Hammer are where the coming-soon Hammerstein Brewing Co. gets its name from. The Hammers are in the process of finalizing the location of their new brewery, but regionites can rest easy knowing that it is planned for a site somewhere locally.
“We’re a few months out from opening doors, but keep checking back for updates on when we have a location and our soft grand opening!” reads an update posted to the Hammerstein Brewing Facebook page on April 6.
Alongside a variety of taproom games to keep patrons entertained, Hammerstein Brewing promises “modernized styles of traditional German recipes” from brewer John Kirk, according to its website. Co-founder Rob will serve as chef of the brewery’s on-site food truck as well.
One beer that’s been announced? A blackberry saison called Whoa, Black Betty! Bramble Jam. The brew is made with noble hops Hallertauer Mittelfrüh and Saaz, plus some fresh blackberries.
