Ukraine: Barley exports reach 4 mln tonnes since the beginning of the current marketing year
Ukraine has exported almost 38 million tons of grain crops since the beginning of the current marketing year, Ukrinform reported on June 1, citing the department for phytosanitary security, seed production and planting control of the State Service of Ukraine on Food Safety and Consumer Protection.
"In particular, over 16.2 million tons of wheat (including 9.5 million tons of milling wheat and over 6.7 million tons of fodder wheat), 4 million tons of barley and over 16.5 million tons of corn have been exported," the statement reads.
Over 41.5 million tons of grains were exported over the same period last marketing year. In particular, almost 17 million tons of wheat (including almost 11.3 million tons of milling wheat and over 5.6 million tons of fodder wheat), 5.2 million tons of barley and over 18.7 million tons of corn were exported.
In addition, almost 4.8 million tons of oilseeds have been exported within the current MY, including 2.1 million tons of rapeseed, almost 2.7 million tons of soybeans. 3.8 million tons of oilseeds were exported over the same period last marketing year, including over 1 million tons of rapeseed and over 2.8 million tons of soybeans.
