USA: AB InBev to import its international craft beer brands to the US
Anheuser-Busch InBev (AB InBev) has announced plans to import its international craft beer brands to the US, Drinks Insight Network reported on July 3.
The company has obtained clearance from the Alcohol and Tobacco Tax and Trade Bureau for some of the international craft beer variants, which will be introduced to the market at an AB InBev-sponsored craft beer and music festival that is scheduled to take place later this year in New York, US.
Set to begin selling in the US this year, the brands include draft beer labels from Camden Town Brewery in the UK, Cervejaria Colorado of Brazil, Artesanas de Malta y Cebada of Mexico, Newlands Spring Brewing of South Africa, Archibald Microbrewery of Canada and Belle-Vue Brouwerij of Belgium.
Each of the beers will be imported in kegs, while two brews from Archibald of Canada will also be packaged in pints.
AB InBev has not announced any plans to distribute and sell the beers beyond the US.
AB InBev’s new international craft beer range will join the Australian brand 4 Pines, the Spanish blend Cervezas La Virgen, and the Mexican import Bocanegra.
