Of beer, an enthusiast has said that it could never be bad, but that some brands might be better than others.

Canada & USA: Vancouver’s Red Truck Beer Company opens second location in Colorado
Brewery news

Vancouver’s Red Truck Beer Company has travelled south to open a second location in Fort Collins, Colorado, Straight.com reported on August 20.

The brewery and “truck stop” pours 18 beers from the B.C.–born suds maker, including its flagship lager, amber ale, and northwest IPA, as well as rotating seasonal varieties and Fort Collins–specific taps. Tours, tastings, growler fills, and diner eats are all on the menu.

Like the Vancouver outpost, the venue also features an industrial look, a collection of vintage red trucks, and a water tower emblazoned with the words Red Truck. Guests can also expect to find live music and community events, like Red Truck’s Truck Stop Concert Series, on the docket.

Since launching in North Vancouver in 2005, Red Truck has set its sights on U.S. distribution. Rather than simply delivering its beer to stores, pubs, and restaurants across the border, however, the brewery decided to go the unconventional route of opening a production establishment and tasting room in Fort Collins, a city known for its flourishing beer culture.

“From our first visit, we could see that Fort Collins was a hub for first-class brewing,” Jim Dodds, general manager at Red Truck Beer, said in a news release. “We wanted to join this passionate community of brewers and beer lovers and share our love of beers and brewing with them.”

The move makes Red Truck the first Canadian brewery in over a decade to purchase a domestic facility to make and sell its beers in the U.S. In celebration of its Colorado launch, Red Truck has also refreshed its branding and packaging.

An additional brewery and truck stop is also expected to open in Denver in the near future.
