USA, NC: SouthEnd Brewing Co signs lease in Greensboro, hoping to open by summer
In the popular South End District, an empty brewery space will be empty no more this coming spring-summer. A-Z Development, a downtown Greensboro re-development company is pleased to announce that SouthEnd Brewing Co. has signed a lease at 117 West Lewis Street, Yes! Weekly reported on January 9.
Renovations will begin immediately with new brewing equipment already on order, changes to the brew room, upfit to the main taproom with a new look and décor, and the addition of a kitchen to serve a small plates menu. The outside area behind the building, which had been used as a loading dock, will be converted to a beer garden/patio with space for games, activities, and special events. Expect to see a fresh new look on the outside of the building as well.
Andy Zimmerman of A-Z Development worked with the father-and-son team of Eric and Seth Kevorkian of Greensboro to make the deal happen.
“I am so excited to announce this great addition to the South End District of downtown Greensboro,” Zimmerman said. “Both Eric and Seth are very passionate to deliver a great place to hang, eat and drink in downtown, and they really want to be a part of and contribute to our community.”
“With the addition of food, and the outside beer garden area, and soon-to-be-announced brewmaster, I just know they will be wildly successful.”
