Russia: Stepan Razin brewery is to launch a premium beer brand under the name CCCP (USSR) by request of Brain Invest Company, Russian media revealed on October 27. Stepan Razin brewery will produce 80 million litres of CCCP beer. 40% of the output is to be exported. Brain Invest is to allocate US$8 million to this project. The company said that sales agreements with companies from USA, Italy, Spain, France and Finland have already been concluded. Brain Invest’s future plans are to expand production by acquisition of the brewery. They hope the brand will be popular with former USSR immigrants living now in USA and Europe.
